How To Trade In Your Iphone
To trade in your iPhone, go to apple.com/shop/trade-in, scroll down, and select Smartphone. Then fill out the pop-up form, select your iPhone model, and click Trade it in for a gift card. Finally, open your inbox, find the confirmation email, and click Confirm Quote.
In order to trade in your iPhone, you will need to know which model you have. To find out what model your iPhone is, go to Settings > General > About. Then you will see your iPhone model next to Model Name.

Deauthorize Your Mac From Your Apple Id
This is an important step. Apple tracks what devices you use, and if you dont sign out, the new owner of your old Mac may not be able to set it up. To sign out, use your iPhone, iPad, or another Mac and go to your Apple ID account at appleid.apple.com, then log in with your username and password. Go to the Devices section of the webpage, where youll see a list of devices associated with your Apple ID. Click on the Mac you want to deauthorize and a pop-up appears. Click the Remove from account button. A confirmation dialog will appear, and youll need to confirm that you want to perform this action.
Once thats done, on the old Mac, make sure it is logged out of iCloud by checking system preferences. Youll also want to make sure it it logged out of Messages, which you can check in the Messages app.

What Happens To Your Old Device
It depends on its condition. If your device is still in good shape, then it’ll be sold refurbished to someone else. The same thing goes when you use the iPhone Upgrade program, which requires monthly payments in order to get a new iPhone every year.
Cook noted during the press event that Apple makes sure the “highest percentage humanly possible of wind up back in the hands of someone who wants them.” Don’t worry: Apple will show you how to back up your data and completely wipe your device so your personal information stays safe.
If it’s not in working condition, then Apple will offer to recycle it for you so that the materials get another life. For example, Apple says the aluminum from old iPhones gets recycled into MacBook Air enclosures. There’s even a recycling robot named Daisy that can take apart 200 iPhones an hour in order to reuse as many materials as possible.

Unfortunately, televisions are not part of Walmarts trade-in program.
One reason I can think of for this is that most TVs are simply too big and too fragile to hold up to the shipping.
While companies like Walmart have plenty of packaging options on their end for getting large electronic devices safely to customers, it doesnt go both ways.
There simply isnt enough specialty packaging available to the everyday consumer to send something so breakable back.

Prepare Your Macbook For Trade In
The first couple things you need to do before looking into the various trade in options for your MacBook is back it up and factory reset it. Macs dont have built in iCloud backups, so youre going to have to figure out an alternative. The easiest and cheapest option is to create a Time Machine backup which can then be restored when setting up your new computer. There are plenty of other options, too.

Erase The Storage Device And Reinstall Macos
Make sure your data is saved and youre connected to Wi-Fi before you proceed with erasing the storage and reinstalling macOS using macOS Recovery. Heres how to start the process:
- On an Intel Mac, hold down the Command+R keys while turning on the computer.
- On an M1 Mac, press and hold down the power button while turning it on.
The macOS Recovery menu will appear. You can then use Disk Utility to wipe your Macs drive. When Disk Utility is finished, quit the app, and then click on Reinstall macOS in the Recovery menu to install the operating system.
