Change Default Browser In Windows 11 With Ease
It is reported that Windows 11 will have a dedicated SetDefault button at the top of the apps settings page. It will be found under the Apps -> Default apps section of the Settings. The option will allow users to set default apps they like with a simple click. The new ability is found in Windows 11 Insider build 22509 on the Dev channel. It was first spotted by reverse engineer Rafael Rivera.

When an app is set as default, the file and link types will automatically be set to the new app as default. However, the PDF file type will still have Edge as its default browser.
This feature will come as a sigh of relief for many as the current process is pretty tough. If a user wants to change their default browser , they will have to head to the Settings, choose Apps, and then Default Apps. Following this, users will have to enter the name of the browser in the Search Apps section and then select that particular browser for each file/ link type.
The change has attracted some negative limelight from both third-party Windows browsers and even regular users. Plus, it has become more complicated than what was available in Windows 10. To recall, when you download an app or browser in Windows 10, a one-time prompt pops up for people to set them as default. If the prompt is missed, they can head to the settings.

What Is A Homepage
A homepage is the first page that typically shows up when you open your Internet browser. An Internet browser such as Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome is preloaded with a default homepage, often Google.com or Bing.com, which appears when a user launches their web browser. From your browser’s homepage, you can type in a web search in the search field or you can directly type in the website address into the browser’s address bar at the top of the homepage. If you frequently use a different website or browser than what is preloaded, your homepage settings can be changed at anytime from your browser’s Internet settings options.
A homepage also is the name for the first or opening page of a website. On a website, the homepage typically includes a navigation or menu bar that directs users to other pages they can access within the website. When navigating through a website, users should be able to easily redirect back to the homepage by clicking “home” on the website’s menu bar. Users can consider a website homepage as a table of contents in which information on the contents of entire site can be found and accessed.

Every Time I Run The Windows Update My Computer Has Problems
Although Microsoft tests the updates before they are released with numerous computer configurations, you may have issues after running an update. Usually, these problems are caused by other software programs, a unique computer or software configuration, or third-party drivers.
If you ran an update and are having a problem not documented, try uninstalling the updates through Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features in the Control Panel.
Below are recommendations for helping to prevent problems.
- Temporarily disable any virus and spyware protection programs.
- Disable any disk software utilities or performance tools running on the computer.
- Let the updates run without using the computer. Step away from the computer while updates are being installed.
- How do I clear my Internet browser history?
- If you are encountering problems after installing driver updates, we recommend you try updating the drivers from the hardware manufacturer’s website instead of through Microsoft. A listing of driver manufacturers is on our computer drivers page.
- If the update is not a critical update, do not run the update immediately after it’s released. In some rare cases, Microsoft discovers issues with its updates after they are first released that may cause your computer issues.
Although problems may occur after running the Microsoft Windows Update, it’s still highly recommend you always update your software because of the problems and security issues they can fix.
