What Should I Do When I Have Acquired A Dell Inspiron Laptop
In the event that my dell inspiron laptops can be heard by a complete stranger, I am concerned. When mentioned to uninitiated persons, guns are viewed negatively.
The range trips we discuss make us seem like we are a part of some obscure club. Thanks for allowing me to assist. Feel free to contact me if you need any other assistance.
Main Differences Between Dell Xps And Dell Inspiron
Dell Inspiron 15 3000 Specs
|Boot Drive Capacity||128 GB|
|0.78 by 14.3 by 9.8 inches|
You can find plenty of decent Chromebooks below $400, but relatively few inspiring Windows laptops priced that low. One exception is Dells Inspiron 3000 series, which comes in three screen and chassis sizes. The Inspiron 15 3000 configuration reviewed here has a 15-inch screen, starts at just $293, and rings up at $369 as tested. It boasts all of the physical characteristics of a solid low-cost laptop, but this version suffers a bit from lackluster performance and, especially, ho-hum display quality in its lower price ranks. If your budget is strict, you can abide by these deficiencies. If, instead, you can afford an extra $30 or so, you can pick up an AMD Ryzen or Intel Core version with a full HD screen that would improve your computing experience immensely.

Alienware And G Series: Full
If gaming is more your style, Dell’s Alienware brand delivers, if you’re on the market for a serious, blinged-out gaming cruiser. The latest components combine with premium construction and design, earning Alienware a well-deserved reputation as an aspirational brand among PC gamers. The Alienware machines tend to be big, brawny models with heavy graphics firepower and prices to match, though the brand has made forays into some leaner machines with its m15 and m17 series models. That said, the wholly redesigned Alienware Area-51m, now in its second generation, is a futuristic, winning take on the classic gaming bruiser. The company has also tipped an Alienware X-Series slimline family more on that later in 2021 when we get to test one.
Dell also sells gaming laptops under its G Series brand, introduced in 2018. Before this new sub-brand’s introduction, this aggressively priced, lower-end line was part of the Inspiron family. Dell split it out as its own animal, and now the G Series is aimed at mainstream and budget-constrained gamers, with more modest designs than the Alienwares and component loadouts that are humbler but still workable for the latest games.

Dells two most popular laptop lines are the Inspiron and the XPS, and given the range of prices and configurations, it can often be difficult to determine the model you want.
The Inspiron starts at very affordable prices , making it a clear choice if youre looking for a web-browsing laptop that doesnt cost more than a tablet. But at the top end, it offers competent office-level performance. The XPS line, by comparison, is higher end, appealing to those with graphic processing needs or even a little entry-level gaming. Its top-of-the-line models have just received a refresh, with brand-new Intel processors available just in time for the holiday shopping season.
For solid business performance, youll also want to look at the Dell Latitude or Inspiron lines for even higher-end graphics performance, youll want to check out the companys G-Series or Alienware gaming models.
In the Inspiron line, youll choose from one of three series: 3000, 5000 or 7000. Ive selected a laptop from each series below for comparison. In the XPS line, youll choose solely based on screen size and whether you want 2-in-1 capability

Dell Inspiron 16 Plus
|Operating system||Windows 10 Home|
A full-size SD card is a rarity you get with the Inspiron 16 Plus.
To be clear, I’m not saying this Inspiron has the same build quality as the MacBook or even Dell’s own XPS 15 or 17. While the chassis is metal, the lid doesn’t have the rigidity of a premium laptop and there’s also some flex to the keyboard deck. It’s also running Windows and not MacOS. But if you’re looking for more processing and graphics performance in something that’s not a gaming laptop or as pricey as the other 16-inch options, this Inspiron has that all wrapped up.
Remarkably, the battery life is also really good considering it has discrete graphics, hitting 10 hours, 11 minutes on our streaming video test. It can also be charged through its Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port its 130-watt power supply uses a barrel connector. And, while this is meant as a general-purpose laptop or for creators for photo, video and graphics work, it can be used for gaming when configured with the 3050 or 3060 GPUs, too. However, the laptops use Nvidia’s Studio drivers and not game-ready drivers.
The 16:10 screen ratio gives you more vertical room to work than a 16:9 display.
The backlit keyboard nearly goes edge to edge.
The built-in webcam, mics and speakers are all on par with what you’d typically get at this price — fine but nothing special. Dell did put in a physical privacy shutter for the webcam, so you can block it and only be on camera when you want.
Which Is The Best Alienware Laptop
The Alienware Area-51m is one of a kind. With a massive 17.3 inch display and 8GB DDR4 2400 MHz, it has a 1TB HDD and an 8GB SSD. With an Intel Core i9 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080, it can play any game at as high FPS as needed. With a more mellow look than previous generations of Alienware, it has a huge touchpad and keyboard to make gaming easier.

Dell Vostro 3581 Vs Dell Inspiron 3584
The Dell Vostro 3581 is a personal use laptop with a 2.29GHz Intel Core i3-7020U 7th Gen processor, 4GB DDR4 RAM with an extra slot and a 5400rpm hard drive. It has a battery backup of 6 hours and weighs about 2.4 kg.
The Dell Inspiron 3584 is also a personal use laptop 2.29GHz Intel Core i3-7020U 7th Gen processor, 4GB DDR4 RAM and 5400rpm hard drive. The battery backup is the same as its Vostro counterpart at 6 hours while it weighs a few grams lighter at 2.2 kg.
Dell Laptop Deals: Inspiron 7000 Series
The 7000 Series does muddy the waters slightly, on the lower end of the spectrum bumping into 5000-level configurations and at the other end mixing with the likes of the Dell XPS. That means those discounts do work harder for you during Dell laptop sales events, so if you are looking for a professional-worthy machine it’s wise to keep an eye on these rigs.
Aside from price, however, if you’re going to be using power-intensive programs, and multi-tasking between them, the 7000-series is best suited to your needs. The entry level models can still fall a little short, but spending between $750 and $900 on a Dell Inspiron 7000 will yield some strong results.
The only Inspiron laptop to feature a brilliantly portable 13.3-inch display, the Dell Inspiron 13 7000 is a convertible laptop that packs just as much power as it does convenience. You’ll find a marked step up in price now that we’re in the 7000-Series range, but considering the power and flexibility of this model, you’re still getting excellent value for money.
Plus, you can also configure Intel Optane memory with this model – a form of smart memory that predicts which programs you’ll need and lines them up ready for you, which essentially makes for faster load times.
That said, you’ll find plenty of power under the hood here – this just might not be the best laptop to sling in a backpack and carry all day.

Dell Vostro For Business Inspiron For Home
The Vostro and Inspiron lineups are actually very similar, but one is targeted at the enterprise market and the other at the home user. It’s not entirely this straightforward, but it doesn’t take much examination of the respective products to see that there are common themes in hardware and price.
Inspiron can ultimately boast a lower entry cost, in part thanks to targeting the consumer that often shops on tighter budgets than business buyers. But throughout the range into the higher-spec equipment, there are comparable Inspiron and Vostro laptops.
What this also means is that assuming you’re happy with the price and the spec, you aren’t making a bad choice if you should happen to buy from the family you’re not the target audience for. They’re all going to work just as well.
Dell Vostro Vs Dell Inspiron: Which Should You Buy
Dell making some of the best laptops and desktop PCs around doesn’t mean it isn’t without its problems. For a lot of people, just navigating its product lineup can be really confusing. Not just deciding which laptop within a family, such as Inspiron, but which of the many product families Dell has that you should be choosing from in the first place.
Things are made a little more confusing by the existence of both consumer and business-focused products, which are sold side by side in the same store, look quite similar to each other, are priced similarly, and have comparable specs. The good news is that you can’t really make the wrong choice, but there’s one easy way to make the right choice.

No Full Hd Display In Sight
The key drawback on our Inspiron 15 3000 review unit is the display resolution. The panel, which measures 15.6 inches on the diagonal, offers noticeably washed-out colors and slightly fuzzy text because of its 1,366-by-768-pixel resolution. This is lower than full HD, a resolution that typically measures 1,920 by 1,080 pixels. If you sit back about four feet from the screen and squint, the contents of the display look crisp enough, but you need to increase the text size using the Windows Settings app to make smaller onscreen elements readable. This negates the point of buying a large-screen laptop to begin with, which is to fit more things on the screen.
A better approach would be to upgrade to a full HD resolution, which comes standard on the Ryzen 3 configuration. None of the configurations offers a touch screen, but touch capability isnt something we expect to see at these prices. As it stands, I find viewing angles and maximum brightness to be perfectly adequate in a brightly lit room even on the 1,366-by-768-pixel display, although I did not use the laptop in direct sunlight. The matte finish helps in this regardtheres no glossiness to reflect glare from ambient light.
Above the display is an oversize cutout for the 720p camera lens. Video quality is workable, about the same as most other mainstream laptops, which also shoot in 720p video. Dont bother taking still images with this webcam, though, as the sensor is limited to a paltry 0.9 megapixels.
Do I Need A Laptop For Home Use But Also Work And A Bit Of Gaming Is There Something
With Intel Core i7 8550U processor, the Dell XPS 13 9370 is the best all-around performer that Dell offers. You have to keep in mind that Dell does not provide budget machines like companies from China and Taiwan. That is why on a 13-inch screen, Dell still provides 3840 x 2160 resolution and stutter-free playback of the highest definition YouTube videos. On top of it, the whole device is machined out of a single block of aluminum, and 90% of it is recyclable.

Dell Inspiron Vs Latitude: My Initial Thoughts
Dell, as most of us know already, is one of the most innovative and highly influential laptop manufacturers. Time and time again, theyve built upon their reputation for consistently offering something for different categories of users all at relatable prices.
An immediate example is in the case of these two laptops we are about to compare the Dell Inspiron and Latitude. These laptops rank under two of Dells most popular series that have been designed to cater to specific users.
Based on the conclusions Ive drawn from Dells official website, the Dell Inspiron is a general-purpose consumer-focused laptop. Compared to the Dell Latitude, the Inspiron is more affordable.
I felt the Inspirons pricing was interesting until I had it sitting in front of me. When I ran my regular first-time quick assessment on the laptop, its build quality didnt seem encouraging I dont want to jump to conclusions though, so lets hold on with that thought.
On the other hand, the business-centric Latitude laptop felt more sturdy compared to its colleague the Inspiron. It even felt lighter despite feeling more durable.
Aside from their physical features, their widely different specifications had me itching to dive straight into the comparison of both laptops. My first thoughts about these laptops convinced me that the main difference between them would originate from their purposes.
Inspiron Bang For Your Buck
The XPS laptops are more glamorous, but the Inspirons are the meat of Dell’s consumer laptop range. Ultimately what you’re getting here is value, whether that’s at the super-low price budget laptop end of the spectrum, or the slightly more expensive but still way short of the XPS price point. The Inspiron range is where most Dell buyers will find the right laptop for them.
Inspiron is also a great place to find a 2-in-1 laptop, especially if you like the look of the XPS 13 2-in-1 but the price tag is a bit much for you.
The drawback to all this is that the Inspiron range is massive. Fortunately, we have a full explainer on what each different sub-series within the Inspiron range is all about. Our favorite, though, is the Inspiron 14 5000 which is a sweet spot in the range for price and performance while also boasting a pretty stunning design.
