We had no problem racing around a track in Dirt 3 on the Yoga C940, which ran the game at 55 frames per second. Landing well above our 30-fps playability threshold, the Yoga C940 outperformed the Spectre x360 13 , XPS 13 2-in-1 and Yoga C930 in this real-world test. The category average, inflated by laptops with discrete GPUs, is 57 fps.
A Great Choice For Mac Power Users
If youre a creative professional who doesnt quite want to pay the price of the MacBook Pro 16, or youre looking for something more compact, youre probably better suited to the 14-inch MacBook Pro. This device is thinner, lighter, and less expensive than its 16-inch counterpart, but it comes with the same monstrous processor options and the same stellar screen, albeit at a smaller size.
We didnt see much of a difference in benchmark scores between the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBooks with the same processors the 14-incher actually outperformed the 16-inchers in some of our tests. The primary difference to consider, apart from the sizes of these devices, is battery life. The 16-inch chassis allows for a significantly bigger battery, and the 16-inch M1 Pro model lasted several hours longer than the 14-inch M1 Pro model did in our testing.
On the outside, Apple has fixed many of the issues that reviewers had with previous MacBook Pro models. There are ports galore on this device, including an HDMI, an SD slot, and multiple Thunderbolt 4 ports. The much-maligned Touchbar is also no more. While you can get plenty of great 14-inch laptops for half the price of this MacBook, its the one to buy if money is no object.

Recently I got the ASUS Zenbook 14 for review. It is a beautiful and amazing device. I love it. I really do. It is well powered, well specd and fits well into very many peoples daily routine. If you want a device for typing and browsing, it is great for that. The keyboard is great. Want a device that you can carry around easily? It is a perfect 14-inch screen device that fits in a form factor smaller than my 13-inch laptop. Yes, it can fit your daily carryon bag. It has good battery life, and if youre someone who edits pictures or videos, you can trust it can handle most of your work. Something I only realised by accident later on ASUS hadnt told me is that it is a touch-screen device. There was a speck of dirt and I tried wiping it off, and was like whoah! This got me thinking Do we really need touch screen laptops?
I use my laptop every day. I would like to think I am one of those people who spend all their day between different devices. Wake up, pick my phone see whats on social media. A few minutes later, use the tablet for emails, watching stuff, and some more social media. Occasionally, read an article, or finish a chapter of some interesting book. Then if there are photos I need to be edited, or short videos, I open the various app for those and get to work while seated anywhere comfortably.
